1. I forgot my user name.
Please email Ask_GenStar@generalstar.com requesting your user name to the General Star Extranet be sent to you.
2. I cannot remember by password.
You can reset your password by clicking the “forgot my password” link on the login screen.
3. I was never issued a user name or password.
Active General Star Producers – Follow the instructions under the “New User” tab of the login page www.generalstar.com/log-in. Please fill out the information requested at the bottom of the page, and make sure that you click inside the box to the left of Company Extranet Terms & Conditions for your request to be processed. Once completed, then click on the Send button. You will receive an e-mail giving you a user name and password, or you will be contacted for further information.
Inactive Producers – you can continue requesting Loss Reporting from General Star by sending a fax
to 1-203-328-6131
Retailers and other third parties – You must have a release from the insured, written on the insured letterhead, granting authority to you by name, in order to request Loss Reporting. Please fax the release, together with your request, on your own letterhead, for specific policy number(s), to 1-203-328-6131. Also, retailers can order loss runs from their wholesalers.
4. I know my user name & password but need assistance with other Extranet issues.

Acceptance of Terms
Access to the General Star Extranet located at https://genstarinsext.sharepoint.com/sites/GenstarPortal/Pages/Home.aspx
and any associated content, services, features, and functionality (collectively, the “Extranet”) is subject to these General Star Extranet Terms of Use (“Terms”), in addition to the Terms of Use & Important Legal Information set forth at generalstar.com (“Website Terms of Use”). In the event of any conflict between the Terms and the Website Terms of Use, the Terms shall control.
In these Terms, “Company” refers to the business entity identified below; “you” and “your” refers to the individual accepting these Terms on behalf of the Company and identified as the Authorized Representative below, and “General Star”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to General Star Management Company, its affiliates, and their respective successors and assigns.
These Terms constitute a binding agreement between General Star and the Company, and a binding agreement between General Star and you in connection with your representations and warranties to Company in these Terms.

Extranet Access
Upon the Company’s electronic acceptance of these Terms by clicking the [Accept] button below, General Star, in its sole discretion, shall determine whether the Company is eligible for Extranet access.
If General Star determines that Company is eligible for Extranet access, General Star will activate and deliver to the Company login credentials comprised of a login name and password that allows access to the Extranet. The Company may, from time, to time, in accordance with the procedures provided by General Star, identify additional authorized users for the Company (collectively, the “Authorized Users”). Such Authorized Uses shall be employees in good standing of the Company who have a legitimate business need to access the Extranet. All activity relating to an Authorized User’s account shall be deemed to attributable to the Company.
Promptly upon General Star’s request, Company shall furnish to General Star a list of the names and job titles of all Authorized Users.
If an Authorized User no longer requires access to the Extranet for the Company’s legitimate business reason, the Company shall ensure that such Authorized user’s login credentials are promptly and securely disabled in accordance with the procedures provided by General Star.
Company shall ensure the security and confidentiality of the Extranet login and password information for each Authorized User.
General Star reserves the right to terminate access to and use of the Extranet by the Company or any of its Authorized Users, and to take any other action General Star deems appropriate, in its sole discretion, with or without notice and without limitation, for any reason.
Indemnification
Company shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless General Star, its affiliate companies, and their respective directors, officers, stockholders, employees, agents and representatives from and against any liability, loss, damage, or expense, including, without limitation reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in connection with any actual or threatened claim, suit, action, or proceeding of any kind arising out of or related to (i) the Company’s or any of its designees’ access to any part of the Extranet and any materials received by or on behalf of the Company through the Extranet, or (ii) access to the Extranet by any person using login credentials associated with or created through the Company, or (iii) breach or alleged breach of any Company’s or the Authorized Representative’s representations, warranties, or covenants under these Terms, or (iv) breach or alleged breach of any terms and conditions governing an Authorized User’s access of the Extranet, or (v) any acts or omissions of any Authorized Users in connection with the Extranet, or (vi) the Company’s, the Authorized Representative or any Authorized Users’ breach or alleged breach of applicable legal requirements or the rights of another.
General Star reserves, and the Company grants to General Star, the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by the Company hereunder. All rights and duties of indemnification that are set forth herein shall survive termination of these Terms.
Consent to Electronic Transactions
General Star, the Company, and the Authorized Representative agree to enter into and execute this Agreement solely through electronic means, and acknowledge that clicking “Agree” at the bottom of this page constitutes the Authorized Representative’s valid and binding electronic signature on behalf of the Company, and the display of the Agreement constitutes valid electronic delivery of the Agreement.
Amendments
General Star may amend the Terms in its discretion by providing notice of such modified Terms to the Company’s Authorized Representative at the email address set forth below. Continued use of the Extranet following the effective date of such modified Terms shall constitute the Company’s acceptance of the modified terms.
Use of the System and Services
General Star reserves the right to do any of the following in its sole discretion: (i) modify, suspend, or terminate operation of or access to the Extranet or any portion thereof by any user; (ii) modify or change the Extranet or any portion thereof; and (iii) interrupt the operation of the Extranet or any portion thereof, as necessary to perform routine or non-routine maintenance, perform error correction, or make other changes.
The Company represents and warrants that all information provided to General Star in connection with its access to and use of the Extranet is correct and complete.
Any use or attempted use of the Extranet (i) for any unlawful, unauthorized, fraudulent or malicious purpose; (ii) that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any server, or the network(s) connected to any server; (iii) that could interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the Extranet; (iv) to gain unauthorized access to any other accounts, computer systems or networks connected to any server or systems through hacking, password mining or any other means, including by creating a false identity for the purpose of misleading others or impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise misrepresent an affiliation with a person or entity; (v) to access systems, data or information not intended by General Star to be made accessible to a user; (vi) to attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available by General Star; or (vii) for any use other than the purpose for which it was intended, is prohibited.
Accounts, Passwords, and Security
The Company is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all Authorized User account information, including all associated login credentials and passwords. The Company shall notify General Star immediately upon learning of any unauthorized use of any Authorized User accounts, and related login IDs or passwords, or any other unauthorized access or breach of security of the Extranet.
Extranet account login credentials are non-transferrable. The Company shall not, and shall ensure that its employees, agent, or other persons acting on behalf of the Company shall not, use any other user’s account, login ID, or password at any time without the express permission and consent of General Star.
Submissions
Any information or material of any type or nature that the Company or its designees submit to General Star through the Extranet (a “Submission”) is done at the Company’s own risk and without any expectation of privacy. The Company is fully responsible for all Submissions made through each Company Extranet account. Each Submission shall comply with these Terms.
Disclaimers
The Company acknowledges and agrees that the Company’s and its designees’ use of the Extranet is at their own risk.
The information, software, CONTENT, SERVICES, or materials available from or provided on the eXTRANET, ARE provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties or guaranties of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, title, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties implied by a course of performance, course of dealing, or usage of trade.
GENERAL STAR AND OUR THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS and LICENSORS DO NOT REPRESENT, WARRANT OR COVENANT THAT THE EXTRANET is OR WILL BE ACCURATE, CURRENT, COMPLETE, FREE OF TECHNICAL AND TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS, secure, RELIABLE, OR APPROPRIATE FOR ANY PARTICULAR USE TO WHICH the company, its designees, OR ANY THIRD PARTY MAY CHOOSE TO PUT THEM, THAT the extranet is OR WILL BE AVAILABLE ON AN UNINTERRUPTED AND ERROR-FREE BASIS, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE EXTRANET is FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER DISABLING DEVICES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS. GENERAL STAR PERIODICALLY AMENDS, CHANGES, ADDS, DELETES, UPDATES, OR ALTERS THE EXTRANET WITHOUT NOTICE. FURTHER, GENERAL STAR ASSUMES NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN THE CONTENT OF THE EXTRANET. GENERAL STAR SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY DUTY TO UPDATE ANY CONTENT OR INFORMATION ON THE EXTRANET.
Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL GENERAL STAR or ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS (the “general star parties”), BE LIABLE TO THE COMPANY OR ANY OTHER THIRD PARTY FOR ANY LOSS, COST, DAMAGE, OR OTHER INJURY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH: (A) THE USE OF, OR RELIANCE ON, THE extranet; (B) the security of the EXTRANET; (c) THE USE, COPYING, OR DISPLAY OF THE EXTRANET OR THE TRANSMISSION OF INFORMATION through the EXTRANET; (d) GENERAL STAR’S PERFORMANCE OF, OR FAILURE TO PERFORM, ITS OBLIGATIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS AND THE EXTRANET; (e) ANY ILLEGAL CONDUCT BY the company or its agents or designees, OR OTHER THIRD PARTIES; OR (F) THE AVAILABILITY, RELIABILITY, ACCURACY, TIMELINESS, OR QUALITY OF any part of THE EXTRANET.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL the general star parties BE LIABLE TO company or any individual acting (or purporting to act) on company’s behalf, OR ANY OTHER THIRD PARTY, FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR SIMILAR DAMAGES OR COSTS (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOST PROFITS OR DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, LOSS OF USE, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, AND CLAIMS OF THIRD PARTIES) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS, THE EXTRANET, OR ANY OTHER CAUSE BEYOND THE CONTROL OF GENERAL STAR, EVEN IF GENERAL STAR WAS ADVISED, KNEW, OR SHOULD HAVE KNOWN OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR COSTS. IN A JURISDICTION THAT DOES NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES, THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF the general star parties SHALL BE LIMITED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE TERMS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
WITHOUT LIMITING ANY OF THE FOREGOING, IF any of the general star parties are FOUND LIABLE TO the company or any individual acting (or purporting to act) on company’s behalf, OR TO ANY THIRD PARTY AS A RESULT OF ANY CLAIMS OR OTHER MATTERS ARISING UNDER OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS or THE EXTRANET, the general star parties’ CUMULATIVE, AGGREGATE, AND MAXIMUM LIABILITY FOR ALL SUCH CLAIMS AND OTHER MATTERS IN ANY CALENDAR YEAR SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $100.
Term
These Terms shall become effective upon the Company’s accepts these Terms, and shall continue until the earlier of (a) General Star’s determination not to approve the Company’s access to the Extranet, or (b) General Star’s determination to terminate the Company’s access to the Extranet, or (c) the Company’s written notice to General Star at Ask_GenStar@generalstar.com notifying General Star of the Company’s termination of access to the Extranet.
Assignment
General Star may assign these Terms, including through an assignment by operation of law, in its sole discretion.
